This digital pet has been around since 1997, and it appears that the original programming and characters have been retained. I was excited to give it a try and see how well it performs in comparison to other digital pets.

It also includes a Character game where one has to guess which way the Tamagotchi will move next. The battery is included, so there is no need to purchase one separately. The age recommendation for this product is 8 years and up, so it should provide plenty of entertainment for young children.

In terms of features, the Tamagotchi Ice Cream offers plenty of options for helping you take care of your pet. You can feed it, turn lights on/off, play with it, give it medicine, flush after it s used the bathroom, check its health and discipline your Tamagotchi if he bothers you when he s happy, fed and all cleaned up. It was easy enough to use, although initially a little confusing as there are a lot of options available.

One unique feature of this digital pet is that you can raise your Tamagotchi from egg to child to adult stage. Depending on how you take care of your pet will determine which of the 7 adults you get at the end. This provides an element of surprise at the end and gives children something to work towards as they take care of their pet.

Overall I found the Tamagotchi Ice Cream to be a great interactive gaming figure that would make an ideal gift for any young child looking for a fun digital pet companion. It offers plenty of features for taking care of your pet while also providing some extra surprises along the way with its character game and evolving stages. The battery life was satisfactory too allowing me to use my pet uninterrupted for several hours at a time before needing to replace it again.
