Expert opinion

I recently had the opportunity to test out Apogee Symphony Desktop Pro Audio Interface, and I must say that it has exceeded my expectations. This device is a high end audio interface that promises top notch sound quality, intuitive touch screen controls and powerful mic preamps. So how does it stack up?

First off, let s talk about the sound quality. The A/D and D/A conversion on this device is incredibly impressive, providing ultra low distortion and a clear window into the sonic landscape of your recordings. The preamps provide up to 75dB of clean gain, and you can also choose between two vintage mic emulations: Neve 1066 or Ampex 601. These emulations combine analog circuitry with digital processing to create a rich and authentic preamp modeling experience.

The integrated touch screen is also very intuitive and easy to use. You can easily dial in your perfect setting with just a few taps of your finger. Additionally, the dual path monitoring feature allows you to control everything when it comes to recording right from your DAW without having to switch windows or suffer from any delay. The included 6 hardware DSP plugins Symphony ECS Channel Strip, Pultec EQP 1A Pultec MEQ 5, Opto 3A, ModEQ 6, and ModComp are also great for further shaping your sound as well as 2 native plugins Symphony ECS Channel Strip Clearmountain s Spaces .

The Apogee Symphony Desktop Pro Audio Interface is truly a great piece of equipment for anyone looking for high end sound quality on their desk. It s perfect for music producers, sound engineers or anyone else who wants professional grade audio recordings without breaking the bank. With its robust features, intuitive design and stellar sound quality, this device is definitely worth considering if you re looking for an upgrade in your home studio setup.
