Ariah Studios Deck Box Dungeons Board Game Review

I recently had the opportunity to review Deck Box Dungeons a fantasy themed dungeon crawler designed to fit inside a deck box. This board game is for 1 2 players, but can be expanded up to 4 players by combining two copies. After setting up the game and familiarizing myself with the components, I was ready to dive into the exciting world of Deck Box Dungeons.

The setup process for this game is fairly straightforward and doesnt require too much time. Each player builds their adventurer by selecting a character card, equipment card, and special abilities card from the included decks. Theres a decent selection of cards so you can customize your character however youd like from a stealthy rogue with daggers to a mage wielding a greatsword. Once your adventurers are ready, its time to embark on your quest!

The goal of each quest varies, from escorting a priest to complete a ritual to killing a giant troll that has been terrorizing a nearby town. The quests are fairly challenging but doable with some strategic planning and cooperation between players. To help make things easier, there s an accompanying free iOS/Android app that streamlines setup/gameplay and adds replayability. I found this feature especially helpful because it allowed me to quickly set up the game without having to spend too much time sorting through all the components.

What I really liked about Deck Box Dungeons is how much content it offers for its price point making it great value for money. The game also comes with highly detailed miniatures that look great on the table and really help bring the world alive in vivid detail. Additionally, its small size makes it very portable and easy to carry around it easily fits in my backpack .

Overall, Deck Box Dungeons is an excellent board game that offers plenty of fun and excitement in one small package. It s perfect for veteran gamers who are looking for something new as well as newbies who want something simple yet challenging enough to keep them engaged for hours on end. Whether you re playing solo or with friends, Deck Box Dungeons is sure to provide plenty of entertainment!
