I recently had the opportunity to use the BOSCH GET65 5N 5 In. Dual Mode Random Orbit Sander for some projects around my home and I have to say that it is an impressive tool. This sander has some great features that make it a very versatile and powerful tool.
The GET65 5N is equipped with a multi hole pad system which allows you to use several different types of abrasive discs. This means that you can use this sander for a wide variety of applications, from normal stock removal to fine finishing. Additionally, the sander comes with two sanding modes: random orbit mode and turbo driven eccentric orbit mode. The turbo mode provides three times the stock removal of normal random orbit sanding mode and is great for aggressive stock removal tasks.
The GET65 5N also has a variable speed motor which can be adjusted to provide power and flexibility for various jobs. The motor provides speeds ranging from 290 to 640 RPM and 3300 to 7300 OPM which makes it perfect for normal removal, most sanding jobs, wood floors, furniture finishing and polishing applications.
Another great feature of this sander is its passive dust collection system which requires a vacuum cleaner and hoses Bosch VAC001, VAC009 and VAC010 hoses are sold separately or you can use the included Bosch VAC002 hose adapter . This feature helps keep your workspace clean during sanding projects and makes cleanup after much easier.
