Epson RapidReceipt RR-60 Mobile Receipt and Color Document Scanner Review

I recently had the opportunity to try out the Epson RapidReceipt RR 60, a mobile, single sheet fed document scanner. Coming in at just under 10 ounces and powered by USB, its one of the smallest and lightest scanners in its class.

The scanner comes with receipt management software so you dont need to subscribe for anything. It automatically and accurately extracts and categorizes key data from receipts which can be exported to third party software such as QuickBooks, Quicken, TurboTax, Excel CSV, and more.

One of my favorite features was the ability to create editable and searchable PDFs. This was made even better by the inclusion of Kofax Power PDF for Windows and PDF Converter for Mac bonus software. I found that single page scanning was incredibly fast, taking just 5.5 seconds 3 . It could scan sheets up to 8.5 x 72 and had an Automatic Feeding Mode which allowed it to automatically accept each new sheet as its inserted and scan up to 10 pages per minute 3 .

The smart software also helps save time with automatic file naming and scan document type recognition, making it easy to integrate data into most document management software with the included TWAIN driver. Moreover, I could easily upload to cloud storage services such as Dropbox, Evernote and Google Drive with Scan to Destination technology. The image quality is also excellent due to intelligent image adjustments with automatic cropping, blank page deletion, background removal and paper skew correction. Plus I could scan everyday receipts, invoices, documents, business and ID cards, as well as extra long pages.

Overall I was really impressed with the Epson RapidReceipt RR 60 scanner. Not only did it provide excellent image quality but it was also incredibly fast at scanning documents. It s a great choice for anyone who needs a portable scanner that can quickly extract data from receipts or other documents without any hassle.
