I recently had the opportunity to try out the FIBRE METAL Tigerhood Classic Thermoplastic Welding Helmet with Speedy Loop Hard Hat Mount, Gray 5906GY. As a professional welder and an avid DIYer, Im always looking for the right combination of protection, comfort, and value when it comes to protective headgear. This product offers all of that and more.

The FIBRE METAL Tigerhood Classic Thermoplastic Welding Helmet features a thermoplastic Noryl material that offers excellent heat resistance and spark protection while its smooth, seamless shell deflects sparks and spatter to reduce burn through risk. It meets ANSI Z87.1 and CSA Z94.3 standards, so you can be sure you are getting top notch safety protection. Additionally, the unique design combines a straight curved front with extended throat protection while blocking fumes and smoke. The molded in glass holder even features a flip up 2 x 4 1/4 telescoping lid that provides a seal against light leak, along with a shade 10 welding lens that accommodates glasses or respirators.

When it comes to durability, this helmet has it in spades thanks to its molded in color which eliminates chipping, peeling and fading as well as its silver coating which exceeds standards for abrasion, adhesion and weathering while also deflecting heat to lower the interior temperature. Plus, it comes with the Model 5000 Speedy Loop Mounting System which allows for frequent on/off of protective hard hats while being fully adjustable to fit any style of hard hat no tools or modifications required!

Overall, I was really impressed by this welding helmet. Its great combination of safety features, comfort level and value for money make it an ideal choice for welders who need reliable headgear at an affordable price point.
