Product Overview

I recently had the opportunity to review the Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 Studio 3rd Gen a professional grade 2x2 USB audio interface and recording bundle. The package includes the Scarlett 2i2, a Mackie CR3 X 3 inch Creative Reference Multimedia Monitors Pair, an On Stage MS7701B Euro Boom Microphone Stand Black, a Knox Gear 25 Feet XLR Male to XLR Female Microphone Cable, a Knox Gear Pop Filter for Broadcasting and Recording Microphones, and a Hosa CPP 110 1/4 Inch TS to 1/4 Inch TS Unbalanced Interconnect Cable 10 Feet.

The Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 is designed to be easy to use, making it ideal for those who are just starting out in music production or recording. It features two high headroom instrument inputs which make it easy to connect your guitar or bass and start recording without any unwanted distortion. The Gain Halo metering ensures that you can keep an eye on your input levels at all times. Additionally, the high performance 24 bit/192kHz AD DA converters ensure that you ll get studio quality recordings every time.

The included CM25 MkIII condenser microphone enables you to capture studio quality recordings that are faithful to the source. The HP60 MkIII closed back headphones provide excellent sound quality and long lasting comfort when recording and mixing.

The bundle also includes all the software tools you need to get started in music production or recording including Ableton Live Lite, three months of Splice Sounds, three months of Avid Pro Tools subscription as well as Focusrite Plug in Collective all of which are intuitive enough for beginners yet advanced enough to inspire real creativity with great sounding effects.

Overall I m impressed by what the Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 Studio 3rd Gen has to offer and I would highly recommend this product for those who are looking for a professional grade audio interface that is easy to use and provides high quality sound recordings. It is perfect for beginner producers or musicians who want to take their recordings up a notch.
