HABA My Very First Games First Orchard Cooperative Board Game Review

I recently had the pleasure of trying out the HABA My Very First Games First Orchard Cooperative Board Game and was thoroughly impressed with its features and design. My family has been playing board games for years, so I was interested to see how this game compared to all the others we have tried.

The First Orchard game is designed for 1 4 players ages 2 and up, making it perfect for younger children who are just starting out with board games. The components of the game consist of 16 large wooden fruit pieces green apples, red apples, yellow pears and blue plums , a chunky color die, a wood raven, 5 path cards and 4 trees. The pieces are all made with quality materials and look great when put together on the table.

The concept of the game is simple but fun for kids. Players take turns rolling the die to pick matching fruit from the orchard before the raven makes it down the path to steal it all. If all the fruit is harvested before the raven reaches the orchard, they win together! However if the raven gets there first, they lose together. This game is great for teaching kids about taking turns and following directions while also reinforcing color recognition, quantities and counting by ones.

I found this board game to be great value for money as you get a lot of quality components at an affordable price. Its also very easy to learn so even those who dont usually play board games should be able to understand it reasonably quickly. As well as being fun for kids, I think this game would make a great gift too which really adds to its value in my eyes.

Overall I would highly recommend HABA My Very First Games First Orchard Cooperative Board Game as a fun way for kids aged two and up to learn important skills such as taking turns and following directions while having plenty of fun at the same time!
