Klein Tools CL390 Digital Clamp Meter Review

I recently had the opportunity to test Klein Tools CL390 Digital Clamp Meter and I have to say that it is a fantastic product. It is a great tool for anyone who needs to measure AC/DC current, NCVT, AC/DC voltage, resistance, frequency, DC microamps, capacitance, duty cycle, diode test and continuity via test leads. It is also great for measuring temperature with a thermocouple.

The first thing I noticed was how easy it was to use. The clamp meter has an intuitive design that makes it easy to understand and use even for novice users. The LCD display is high visibility reverse contrast which allows you to easily see the readings in any lighting condition. I found this extremely useful because sometimes you can t always be in good light when taking readings.

The clamp meter also has a non contact voltage tester integrated into the clamp jaw which is great for detecting live wires without having to make contact with them. This feature makes it much safer to work with electricity as you don t need to come in contact with live wires in order to detect them.

The accuracy of the CL390 Digital Clamp Meter is also excellent. It uses True Root Mean Squared TRMS measurement technology which ensures accurate readings every time. This technology also helps reduce errors due to temperature fluctuations or interference from other electrical signals which can be common issues with other meters.

I found the versatility of the product another great advantage of the CL390 Digital Clamp Meter as it can be used in various different scenarios such as checking wiring faults or testing appliances for electrical safety issues. It also has an integrated test lead holder on the side of the clamp and an optional magnetic hanger for hands free operation which makes using it even easier when you are working in tight spaces or difficult areas.
