Klein Tools CL900 Digital Clamp Meter Review

I recently had the opportunity to try out the Klein Tools CL900 Digital Clamp Meter, and I was very impressed with it. This 2000A AC/DC, 1000V AC/DC, 60 Milliohm measuring tool is designed to be both durable and accurate, making it a great choice for anyone looking for a reliable and precise meter.

The CL900 boasts a rugged TOUGH METER industrial design that stands up to jobsite demands and can survive a 6.6 Foot 2m drop. It also features Automatically ranging True Root Mean Squared TRMS measurement technology for accuracy, and has a CAT IV 600V, CAT III 1000V, Class 2, double insulation safety rating. The backlit display makes visibility in low ambient lighting clear and easy to read.

The CL900 also features Low Impedance LoZ Mode Dedicated Mode for Capturing Inrush Current Integrated Non Contact Voltage Tester plus 2 x AAA batteries included in the package. It also comes with carrying case, instruction manual and straight input test leads. It has an impressive product size of 10.43 x 3.9 x 1.71 inches and an item weight of 1.1 pounds both making it highly portable and easy to take on the go!

I tried out the CL900 on several different projects, ranging from simple electrical measurements to more complex ones involving data capture and analysis. Each time I was able to get accurate readings quickly even in less than ideal conditions where ambient light was low or there were other variables that could have compromised accuracy.

Overall I found the Klein Tools CL900 Digital Clamp Meter to be an excellent tool that is both reliable and precise when it comes to measuring AC/DC voltage, current and resistance levels.
