Product Overview
I recently had the pleasure of trying out the LeapFrog Shapes and Sharing Picnic Basket. After spending some time with it, I can say that it is a great product for young children. It is well designed, durable, and has plenty of features to keep little ones entertained for hours.
The LeapFrog Shapes and Sharing Picnic Basket comes with 15 brightly colored play pieces including plates, forks, cups, food and a tablecloth. This makes it perfect for a pretend picnic for two. The interactive shape sorter helps kids learn shapes and colors as they match the shape of the food pieces with the corresponding shape on the basket. When they get it right, the basket will recognize the food and say its shape and color aloud. There s also a butterfly button that plays music or requests snacks from the basket when pressed.
The LeapFrog Shapes and Sharing Picnic Basket offers three different play modes music, shapes colors and picnic time modes for a wide range of activities. Kids can learn shapes while having fun at the same time as they use their imaginations to create stories around their pretend picnic experience. Plus, when playtime is over, all the pieces fit inside the basket which lights up for easy storage.
In terms of durability, I found that this product was quite sturdy and would be able to stand up to rough play from young children. The pieces are made from plastic which makes them easy to clean if needed. The batteries are included but it s recommended to replace them after some time to ensure that all functions continue working properly.

Overall, I found the LeapFrog Shapes and Sharing Picnic Basket to be an excellent product for young children aged 6 months to 4 years old who are just starting out in learning shapes and colors through playful activities. It s engaging enough to keep them entertained while helping them develop important skills like hand eye coordination and problem solving abilities as they figure out how each piece fits into the puzzle.
The only downside I could find was that there are no volume control features on this product so parents may want to consider investing in additional soundproofing materials if they plan on using it indoors or if they have sensitive neighbors nearby.
All things considered, I highly recommend this product for anyone looking for an enjoyable way to teach their children about shapes and colors while encouraging imaginative play in a fun environment.
