Osmo Little Genius Starter Kit Review

I recently had the opportunity to review the Osmo Little Genius Starter Kit. This kit is designed for children aged three to five and provides a variety of educational games that can help them learn core subjects like creativity, imagination, fine motor skills, verbal proficiency, empathy, and spatial reasoning. It includes an Osmo Base and Reflector for iPad, 19 cardboard pretend play costume pieces, 38 silicone sticks/rings BPA Free and Dishwasher Safe to practice letter forming, silicone game play mat, stackable storage for game pieces, and four Game Apps: ABCs, Costume Party, Stories, and Squiggle Magic.

The first thing I noticed about this kit is that it comes with everything you need to get started right away. The setup was very easy and intuitive all I had to do was download the Osmo app on my iPad and attach the base and reflector. The app gave me step by step instructions on how to set it up correctly so that my child could start playing right away.

Once I had everything set up correctly, I was able to start exploring the different games included in this kit. My son quickly gravitated towards the ABCs game which teaches letter recognition and phonics in a fun way. He also enjoyed playing with the costumes as he used his imagination to create different characters with them.

The stories game was also a huge hit with my son he loved creating stories using his favorite characters from the costumes provided in the kit. The squiggle magic game is another great one that helps children develop pre drawing skills by tracing shapes on the screen with their finger or a special pen included in the box.

Overall, I think this kit is a great way to introduce children to educational games in a fun way. It has helped my son develop important skills like problem solving, critical thinking, language proficiency, hand eye coordination and self expression while having loads of fun. The fact that everything you need comes in one box makes it very convenient as well no additional materials are needed!
