Expert opinion
I recently had the pleasure of testing out the Portkeys PT6 Touchscreen Camera Field Monitor 5.2 Inch Wide Color Gamut LUT Box and I must say that it is an incredible tool for anyone who is looking to take their camera work to the next level. This monitor features a 5.2 inch OCR full fit screen, full HD 1920x1080 resolution, 400 PPI and a wide viewing angle of 178 degrees. It s also incredibly lightweight and slim, weighing only 0.37lb.
The most impressive feature of the PT6 monitor is its 3D LUT advanced features. These features include 3D LUT output, anamorphic, new peaking, customized image crop, menu transparency adjustment, color temperature, zebra, contrast, OSD flip, histogram, RGB luma waveform, backlight, zooming, cross hair grills, false color customization RGB sharpness chroma brightness tint battery voltage checking guides check field audio meters image flip and more. The built in luma and RGB waveforms also allow you to check your image before and after loading a 3D LUT.
In addition to the incredible features mentioned above this monitor also has a few power options such as Sony NP F970/F960/F750/F550 or Canon LP E6 which can be powered via USB power bank 5V 2A or by other means. It also comes with a one year warranty which is great for those who may have any after sales questions or concerns.
Overall this monitor has been an excellent purchase for me and I highly recommend it to anyone who is looking for a professional grade touchscreen camera field monitor with lots of great features and high quality picture quality. It s incredibly easy to use as well which makes it ideal even for beginners who are just getting started in the world of video production. Even if you re not looking for something with all these features this monitor is still worth considering due to its incredibly affordable price tag and great value for money.
