I recently had the opportunity to use the Sceptre E248B FPT168 IPS 24 165Hz monitor. This 24 inch monitor has a sleek design and is wall mountable, frameless, tilt adjustable, flicker free, and comes with built in speakers. As a regular user of gaming and multimedia monitors, I was excited to try out this monitor to see how it compared to my current one.
First and foremost, I was impressed by the 165Hz refresh rate and the IPS panel technology. This offers incredibly smooth video and seamless movement during fast paced games. I also appreciated the AMD FreeSync feature that nearly eliminates tearing and stuttering due to differences between a graphics cards frame rate and a monitors refresh rate. Additionally, its edgeless design completely immerses you in all the action of 1080P resolution and 165Hz refresh rate.
The multiple digital ports on this monitor were also great while three HDMI ports each deliver an impressive 144Hz refresh rate, one DisplayPort produces a stunning 165Hz refresh rate. The blue light shift feature is also beneficial it reduces your monitors blue light to protect you from eye fatigue, irritation and strains. This allows you to work on documents, watch movies or play games for extended periods without feeling uncomfortable or strained. Finally, I found the built in speakers convenient as well they offer office level audio for conference calls and internet workshops or can be used simply for listening to your favorite tunes.
Overall, I recommend this product for anyone looking for a high quality gaming or multimedia monitor at an affordable price point.
