Sonos Five - Black - Wireless Hifi Speaker Review

I recently had the opportunity to test out the Sonos Five High Fidelity Speaker, and I have to say that I was impressed. Im a bit of a music snob, so high quality audio is important to me. The Sonos Five did not disappoint.

The sound quality on the Sonos Five is excellent. It has three high excursion woofers in a sealed architecture that eliminates reverb and echo, plus two precisely angled side tweeters that create spatial extension and rich stereo sound. Plus, it has a center tweeter that optimizes vocal playback. The result is an ultra wide soundstage with deep bass and crisp highs.

The design of the speaker is also impressive. Its sleek and modern, with an all black finish that will fit into any décor. Plus, its surprisingly compact for its size you can put it in any room without taking up too much space. And it looks great when paired with other Sonos speakers as part of a home theater system or multi room setup.

Setup was surprisingly easy for such a powerful speaker you just plug it in and connect it to your network via WiFi or Ethernet cable. You can then control the speaker using the Sonos app, Apple AirPlay 2, or through voice commands with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant. It also has an aux input so you can connect other devices directly to the speaker if needed.

One of my favorite features of the Sonos Five is its Trueplay tuning capability this allows you to customize the sound of the speaker to match your rooms acoustics for optimal performance. This feature alone makes it worth every penny Ive heard other speakers with similar features that cost twice as much or more!
