The monitor comes with both a parent unit and a camera that can be placed in the nursery. To set it up, all you have to do is plug it in and turn it on no complicated setup required. The parent unit itself is easy to use, with clear icons and menus that make navigating the device simple.

One of my favorite features of this monitor is its long range capability you can stay connected even if you re in another room or even outside in the yard. You can also use the two way talk back intercom to comfort your baby if they re crying or just need some reassurance. Additionally, there are five calming melodies and four sets of ambient sound that you can play for your baby to help them sleep more peacefully.

The monitor also has night vision capabilities so you can check on your little one without disturbing them during their nap time, as well as sound activation mode which will alert you when your baby makes noise but keeps the parent unit screen turned off until then. Plus, there s a built in temperature sensor which will notify you if the room temperature becomes uncomfortable so you can adjust accordingly.

Overall, I really enjoyed using the VTech Video Baby Monitor and would highly recommend it for parents who are looking for an easy to use yet reliable way to keep an eye on their little one while they re sleeping or playing in another part of the house. It has all of the features needed for peace of mind and I found that it worked great during my testing period.
